It is soooo beautiful here and I love it already, but it is HOT! Luckily we have a big fan in our room that didnt work at first, but then God helped us out and fixed it. The church really is true. Also I got almost no sleep on the flight, so I am dead tired, but that is okay because it is how i will be for the next two years haha. But anyways, I have to go so I love you all!!!!!
(From Danette: Colton's p-day while in the MTC in Sao Paulo, Brazil is on Tuesday. We got word from him that his assigned time to be able to call home was 4:55am our time! Yikes! But of course I was ready and waiting. Couldn't have been more excited to hear his voice!!! Here's his email from today:)
Hello all the humans who care about me!!! So to start off, the CTM is awesome!!!! Even the cafeteria food is better than in the states! Also, we saw a VW bus on fire as we were on our way to the CTM from the airport so that was fun haha. Another funny story, there was a tiny romantic side story to the church movie we watched on Sunday, and very time something happened that was romantic, all the elders just went wild. It was hilarious!
So this week, I got pretty sad and homesick, especially for home food, so I prayed for some normal food. Then, that night I got watermelon and pizza, it wasn't normal pizza, but it helped a ton. God is real and he does love us hahah! Hooray small miracles!!!
My favorite thing about this week was this quote I heard "If you think you can 'win' this life alone, you have already failed" I just really like that quote because pride has always been something I have struggled with. I have always tried to overcome everything myself to try and show that I was 'strong' when really all I showed was my weakness as I failed again and again. Now on my mission I don't have a choice, it is either get help or die haha. Well, I have to get off, sorry for the shortness, love you all!
